Vijay had to stop his address
Due to the incident, Vijay had to stop his speech temporarily as many people fainted in the crowd. Due to severe congestion, many party workers and children fell under pressure and fainted. During this, Vijay appealed to the stage to maintain peace and vacate the way for ambulances.

Minister and District Collector reached the hospital
In view of the situation, DMK Minister Senthil Balaji and Karur's District Collector immediately reached the hospital and took care of the injured. At the same time, medical teams were deployed on the spot and water bottles were distributed into the crowd so that people who feel unwell could be relieved.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin wrote on X- 'The news coming from Karur is worrying. I have instructed former minister @v_senthilbalaji, Honorable Minister @Subramanian_ma, and District Collector to immediately provide medical facilities to the people and hospitalized people admitted to the hospital. I have also directed the minister of neighboring Tiruchirappalli district @anbil_mahesh to provide all the necessary assistance on a war footing. Apart from this, I have talked to the ADGP to take quick action to bring the situation there under control. I request the public to cooperate with doctors and police.
The girl went missing
According to the report of India Today, there is also news of a 9 -year -old girl disappearing among the stampede. On this, Vijay appealed to the police for help and appealed to his workers to cooperate in finding the girl. The incident happened when Vijay was giving a speech. Meanwhile, he indirectly taunted former DMK Minister Senthil Balaji. Vijay said without naming that the DMK had promised to build an airport in Karur, but later demanded the Center to provide this facility.
