Flood havoc in Chadarghat areas due to opening of Gate of Himayat Sea in Hyderabad

After heavy rains in Telangana, Hyderabad is under threat of floods. Due to the rise in water level in Himayat Sagar and Usman Sagar reservoirs, the authorities opened the gates on Friday, causing flood water to the Mousi river. Flood water entered houses in low -lying areas like Musa Nagar and Shankar Nagar in Chadarghat area, causing panic among the local residents. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has transferred 55 families to safe places.

Due to heavy rains, heavy water flow was recorded in Himayat Sagar and Usman Sea. Hydrababad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) opened eight gates of Usman Sagar and four gates of Himan Sagar by 12 noon, while till 5 pm, a total of 12 gates were opened of Usman Sagar and 9 gates of Himayat Sagar. This released about 22,000 cusecs of water in the Mousi river, resulting in the lower bridge of Chadarghat to be submerged. People started fleeing by tying their belongings due to flood water entering residential colonies located in Musa Nagar and Shankar Nagar. In the video footage, the local people are running from the houses on the police warning and running towards the high places.

People were removed from these areas

Police and GHMC teams remained active throughout the day. Families affected by the nearby areas of Shivaji Bridge and the Bhoomi Lakshmi Temple were transferred to the God-K-Kabh Kabhi GHMC Community Hall, where they are being provided temporary shelter, food and medical assistance. Officials said that the water level of Hussain Sagar has also reached 513.45 meters above the full tank level (+513.41 m), while the maximum water level is 514.75 meters. The flow was 680 cusecs, while the exit remained 895 cusecs. Traffic has been discontinued on Musarambagh Bridge and Jiaguda Road, and passengers have been advised to adopt an alternative route.

Manjar is reminiscent of the 1908 flood

This boom of the Mousi River is reminiscent of the 1908 terrible floods, when the city suffered heavy damage due to the river. It was only after that disastrous incident that Himayat Sagar and Usman Sagar were built, which were built to protect the city from floods. Currently, HMWSSB has released two flood warnings and asked the residents of low -lying areas to be vigilant. Revenue, police and disaster management teams are on alert.

The Chief Secretary has instructed that all the concerned departments should work in coordination. Experts say that if the rains continue, the danger may also increase in other areas like Atapur, Nagole and Jiaguda. The residents have been appealed not to go to the river, stay away from bridges and follow the instructions of GHMC. At present, there is no news of any casualty, but the situation remains serious.

Swami Chaitanyananda: After FIR, Swami Chaitanyanand withdraws Rs 50 lakh, Delhi Police action, 18 bank accounts freeze crores of rupees

From sexual harassment of 17 girls at an institute in Delhi, from the use of fake diplomatic number plate for their luxury cars, the list of allegations against Swayambhu religious leader Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati is quite long.

Chaitanyananda is also known as Dr. Parthasarathy. Ever since an FIR has been filed against Chaitanyanand, shocking information has been coming out. According to the PTI report, amidst the action against 'Baba', the officials have come to know that Chaitanyanand allegedly used different names and information to run a bank account. Investigators said that after the FIR was registered, Baba withdrew more than Rs 50 lakh.

  • 'Sonam Wangchuk's arrest will worsen the situation', this person made a big claim

'Sonam Wangchuk's arrest will worsen the situation', this person made a big claim

Reacting to the arrest of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, Leh Apex Body (Lab) Legal Advisor Haji Ghulam Mustafa said on Friday (September 26, 2025) that this step will make the situation more complicated rather than bringing general status in the Union Territory, as Wangchuk is a world-famous person who is a world-famous person, who is convinced in non-violence.

Ghulam said that the arrest of a person cannot be stopped for state status and the ongoing agitation for his four-formulas, including inclusion of Ladakh in the sixth schedule of the Constitution, but his arrest could be an obstacle in the ongoing conversation between Ladakh representatives and the central government.

    Wangchuk's arrest indiscriminate decision

Mustafa told 'PTI', 'We have also heard about Wangchuk's arrest, which is a very unfortunate and indispensable decision taken by the government. On Wednesday, the nuisance, in which four protesters lost their lives and 90 others were injured, I do not see any role in them.

He said that Wangchuk's arrest has been made on baseless allegations, which can hurt the people of Ladakh emotionally and this arrest cannot be called an intelligent decision. Mustafa, a legal advisor to the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA), said, “He is an internationally acclaimed person who is known for his work in social activism and education and climate.”

Haji Ghulam Mustafa accused the government

He said, 'When you arrest someone of his stature, what message are you giving to people that you can arrest anyone.' LAB and KDA have been jointly leading protests in support of their demands for the last four years. Mustafa alleged that Wangchuk's arrest could be a trick to derail the conversation focused on his demands.

Mohammad Ramadan, vice-president of Anjuman-e-Moinul Islam, a constituent of LAB, said that this arrest is the result of a systematic campaign conducted by right-wing activists and a particular class of media, which aims to defame them and take action against the people.

Firm belief in the Constitution of India

Ramadan accused the central government of experimenting with the policies adopted in other places to intimidate the leadership in Ladakh, saying, “He is the son of this soil, our hero, a leader who follows a Gandhian lifestyle and has firm faith in the Constitution of India.”

He said, 'He was leading the movement in a peaceful manner through hunger strikes and foot march from Leh to Delhi. We all follow them. Instead of bringing a normal position in such steps, only the situation will be complicated.

    Mustafa's question about government's decision

Earlier in the day, LAB co-chairman Chering Dorje also defended Wangchuk and said that in recent times, actions against him have raised many questions. Dorje questioned reporters, saying, 'Wangchuk was running his institute for a long time, but now that he is part of the movement for the rights of the people, who inspired the government to take action against him at the same time? Did the government not know about these things earlier? '

He gave this response on the questions asked about the FCRA license of 'Students Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh' (Sekmol) established by Wangchuk on behalf of Wangchuk on the questions asked about the lease of land given to his HAIL Institute.

  • Muslims of this village announced before Bihar assembly elections, 'Nitish Kumar will vote'

Muslims of this village announced before Bihar assembly elections, 'Nitish Kumar will vote'

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi Seemanchal is taking out the Nyaya Yatra. In most of the 24 assemblies of 4 districts of Seemanchal, Owaisi addressed small and a half dozen street meetings every day. Owaisi talked about the rights of Muslims in these meetings, the emotional issues related to Muslims such as Waqf Amendment Act also raised the issue, but the question is whether Owaisi's impact of this Nyaya Yatra is on the land other than these street meetings?

This question is also justified because apart from Owaisi's Muslim raga, there is a large section of Muslim population in Bihar, which directly reaches the benefit of the central and state schemes. In such a situation, whom will this Muslim population support.

    PM scheme has got benefits

To know the answer to this question, ABP News team AIMIM MLA Akhtarul Iman reached a village in Amour, the constituency of Amour. There is more than 500 Muslim population in Ramnagar here, but most people got the benefit of the cylinder scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Card Scheme and Ujjwal Yojana. The political mood of the people here is completely opposite to the gathering of Owaisi.

Nitish Kumar vote due to PM scheme
Most of the people in the village are directly benefiting from the schemes of the Central and State Government. There are health facilities under Ayushman card and ration card is also getting free ration. In such a situation, these people say that their support and vote will go completely to Nitish Kumar.

People of Muslim population in the village say that from where we are benefiting, we will support him. Owaisi comes here, gives inflammatory speeches, talks pink-pink, but if we get the benefit from Nitish Kumar, then we will vote for Nitish Kumar.

Hyderabad Metro controversy: KTR raging on L&T's return, said- 'CM Revanth Reddy's dictatorship with dictatorship'

BRS Executive Chairman K.K. T. Ramarao (KTR) has made serious allegations against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy about the Hyderabad Metro project. KTR said that the L&T company faced many problems due to CM's 'ego and unilateral dictatorial attitude', resulting in the company to withdraw from the project.

He has demanded that Revanth Reddy should clarify why L&T went away despite the lease period of 2070. Talking to the media at Telangana Bhavan, KTR said that L&T out of Hyderabad is 'indelible blot' for the state. He claimed that the Revanth government took important decisions in a 'irresponsible and thoughtless' manner, which some media misunderstood.

    Metro work project brought boom

In 2008, KTR reminded the then Congress government to start a metro project under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. At that time the Metas company won the tender, but L&T was later assigned this responsibility.

KTR said that in 2014, the metro work was completed only 25% till the BRS government came to power. The KCR government took the initiative to complete it fast and the first phase was started in 2017. Even during the Kovid crisis, the government supported L&T by giving an interest-free loan of Rs 900 crore.

CM Revanth Reddy accused of KTR

In addition, the metro was expanded from Hitech City to Raydurg and a 69 -km network was completed. KTR also said that the BRS government had planned to expand the metro to Shamshabad Airport, for which the tender process was completed.

However, the Revanth government canceled the project as soon as he came to power, which KTR termed as 'indiscriminate'. He warned that such decisions weaken the trust of investors and damage the progress of Telangana.

  • Tirupati Laddu controversy: Question on the role of external officer in SIT, Supreme Court stays high court order

Tirupati Laddu controversy: Question on the role of external officer in SIT, Supreme Court stays high court order

On Friday (September 26, 2025), the Supreme Court stayed the order in which an officer outside the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Supreme Court (SIT) on behalf of the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was described as a violation of the court orders to allow an officer out of the special investigation team (SIT) to investigate adulteration in ghee used in the famous Tirumala Tirupati temple's 'Laddu Prasadam' (religious offerings) of the famous Tirumala Tirupati temple.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court had said that while investigating the 'adulterated ghee' used to prepare Prasadam, the CBI director violated the Supreme Court's instructions. Chief Justice B.K. R. Gawai and Justice K. The bench of Vinod Chandran said that the investigating agency is monitoring this investigation himself. In such a situation, if a particular officer is asked to cooperate in the investigation, then there is nothing wrong in it.

The defendant protested against the argument of Solicitor General

The bench asked, 'If SIT wants to appoint a particular officer, then what is wrong with this?' Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the CBI, said that the CBI director personally held a meeting with SIT members, reviewed the matter and allowed J Venkat Rao to remain the investigating officer in a limited role.

Mehta said, “He is just a record.” The defendant's lawyer protested against this argument of the Solicitor General, saying, “Investigating officers are not just a record.” The defendant originally moved the High Court.

Violation of Supreme Court to allow other officers

His lawyer said that the structure of the SIT was clearly specified in the Supreme Court order and should be a senior officer of the CBI Director, two officers nominated by Andhra Pradesh Police and a senior officer of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). He argued that allowing any other officer to participate in it is a violation of the Supreme Court order.

The Chief Justice asked, 'Has the SIT finished the investigation monitoring? She is appointing only an investigating officer, who is working under her control. Stationing the order of the High Court, the bench asked the defendant to file a reply on the petition of the CBI Director.

Dispute started with an order of High Court

The dispute has arisen by an order of the High Court, stating that the CBI Director. By allowing an officer named Venkat Rao to investigate the case, he has worked contrary to the directions of the Supreme Court, as Rao is not formally part of the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
